An air cooler is a device that uses ambient air to cool the cooling medium. There are many tube bundles on the air cooler, and liquid flows in the tube bundles to cool or condense the high-temperature fluid in the tubes. There is a fan above the air cooler, which draws air upward or downward to reduce the temperature of the medium. It is also called an air-cooled heat exchanger, also called a finned fan. It is often used to replace the water-cooled shell and tube heat exchanger to cool the medium, especially in areas with water shortages.
