New environmental protection policies have been introduced to promote the upgrading of sewage treatment equipment

Recently, many countries have introduced stricter sewage discharge standards, covering industrial wastewater, domestic sewage and agricultural runoff. These policies have brought new opportunities and challenges to sewage treatment equipment manufacturers. 

Policy impact: 

Thailand’s newly enacted "Water Pollution Control Act" requires industrial enterprises to fully upgrade their sewage treatment facilities by 2026, focusing on reducing the emission of nitrogen, phosphorus and heavy metals. This has prompted related companies to increase their procurement demand for high-efficiency and low-energy treatment equipment. 

Enterprise response: 

In the face of policy changes, many companies in the industry are actively developing new technologies. For example, a sewage treatment equipment manufacturer has developed a "magnetic adsorption + membrane separation" technology that can effectively remove heavy metal ions in wastewater and reduce secondary pollution. This technology has now passed the EU CE certification and has begun to be piloted in Thailand's electronics manufacturing industry. 

Analysts believe that this policy-driven technological upgrade will form a new competitive landscape in the industry in the next few years, while accelerating the industry's green and sustainable development.
